The Aloe Vera Difference
By Simon Smith
Aloe vera has long been known to aide those
suffering from modern diseases. I say modern diseases
because many of them have no history past 100 years.
Take heart disease for instance - at the
turn of the century it was virtually unknown.
Heart disease is now the number 1 cause
of death in America. The first symptom for 50% of suffers is
instant death.
Another is Diabetes. It has doubled in the
past 30 years and is expected to soon take the place of heart
disease as the number 1 cause of death.
Diabetes has many symptoms and complications
but many who have advanced type 2 diabetes also have high
blood pressure and high cholesterol among other
things.
So how does Aloe Vera aid those with heart
disease, cholesterol and diabetes? A study in 1985 as
reported in Angiology, The Journal of Vascular
Diseases, five thousand patients, aged 35 to 65, with
terminal or end-stage heart disease, angina pectoris and
severe atherosclerosis, as documented by EKG (EKG,
abbreviated from the German Elektrokardiogramm also known as
ECG electrocardiogram), were instructed to take 100 grams of
fresh Aloe Vera gel daily. During the five year period,
all five thousand (5,000) patients were examined weekly.
Here is the good news for those with heart
disease and atherosclerosis - More than 93% of the patients
experienced improvement in symptoms, blood chemistries, and
EKG.s. Patients with high blood pressure cut their medications
in half. Statistically, 305 of the patients would have had
heart attacks. Half of these would have died over the five year
period. Instead, not one of the five thousand patients
died, and not one had a single heart attack.
The same study showed that there were also
benefits for those with cholesterol and triglyceride issues.
Many drugs used to lower cholesterol are believed to raise the
triglycerides and increase the risk of certain
cancers, duodenal ulcers, asthma, psychiatric disorders,
uveitis, pancreatitis, hemorrhoidal bleeding, diverticulitis,
osteoporosis, anorexia, skin rashes, and even death.
At the beginning of the Angiology study,
almost 100% of the angina patients suffered from high levels of
harmful cholesterols (LDL), triglycerides, and lipids.
Their good cholesterols (HDL) were abnormally low.
However, after taking Aloe vera for three months, all
measurements returned to normal in more than 90% of the
patients, with no dangerous side effects.
In the same Angiology study all of the
diabetics were originally taking the oral hypoglycemic drugs,
rather than insulin shots to control their blood sugar.
Atherosclerosis (clogged arteries), severely afflicts
diabetics, increases suffering and death rates from heart
attacks, gangrene, strokes and kidney failure. After
2 months on the Aloe Vera, 94% of the three thousand one
hundred and sixty seven (3,167) diabetics stopped their oral
hypoglycemic drugs and controlled their blood sugar with diet
alone, preventing the consequences of diabetic
complications.
I think you will agree these are profound
findings.
In closing I would just like to
emphasise why I believe these are
profound. A study is thought to be significant
if there is an improvement of between 3 to 9%. Here we are
talking about 90 to 100% improvement. A little more than
significant !!
